Time for Scrollback Buddies to rise up the ladder and become Scrollback Campus Ambassadors

Even as volunteers, we all want to grow. As a few of our Scrollback Campus Ambassadors grow to become Mentors, we thought the time has come when our Scrollback buddies should also get an opportunity to grow. We are thus opening the application process for all our Scrollback buddies, who are willing to take more responsibilities and grow into Scrollback Campus Ambassadors.

Who are Scrollback Campus Ambassadors?

Scrollback Campus Ambassadors stand at the second level of this Campus program. Scrollback Campus Ambassadors are leaders, who are enthusiastic community builders, leading campaigns at their colleges and within their communities to encourage others to use Scrollback as well as contribute to this Open Source project.

What are the responsibilities of a Scrollback Campus Ambassador:
  • The SCAs are responsible for recruiting new Scrollback buddies and guiding them as they begin their journey as a Scrollbacker.
  • The SCAs are expected to work very closely with all the Scrollback mentors. They are the bridge between the Scrollback mentors and the Scrollback buddies. They are responsible for relaying all conversations between these two groups. Also, all the plans initiated by a Scrollback mentor is expected to be executed by a Scrollback Campus Ambassador, with the help of his (or her) buddies.
  • The SCAs are responsible to keep a close note of all the contributions being made by their buddies and bring them out to the mentor or the Scrollback team, so that those contributions can be acknowledged. Since the buddies are not in direct communication with the Scrollback team or mentors all the time, the SCAs need to play an important role in making sure that a buddy’s voice is being heard in the community.
  • SCAs will also have the power to vouch buddies and help them become Campus Ambassadors.
How can a buddy become a Campus Ambassador?
The Scrollback Campus Ambassador process is open only to existing Scrollback buddies. These are the following two ways in which a Scrollback buddy can become a Campus Ambassador:
  • If a Scrollback Campus Ambassador thinks that his (or her) buddy is ready to climb up the ladder and take up more responsibilities, they can vouch for that buddy.



  • If a buddy thinks he (or she) is ready to become a Scrollback Campus Ambassador, they can apply directly to become one.
